Cold chain refrigeration technologies using natural refrigerants were among the units showcased at the Magic Aire exhibit booth during the PHILCONSTRUCT Manila trade show held from November 3 to 6, 2022.
CCI Hub Coordinator Mr. Manuel Azucena had drawn interested stakeholders to the exhibit booth as he presented capacity building initiatives under the Global Partnership for Improving the Food Cold Chain in the Philippines project highlighting innovative commercial, industrial and transport refrigerating systems housed in the Hub at the TESDA Complex. Magic Aire is one of the industry contributors of the CCI-Hub which aims to build the capacity of the industry and increase the knowledge of Refrigeration and Airconditioning (RAC) trainers and technicians on energy efficient and sustainable cold chain technologies. A Barrel Chiller using the R290 Embraco Plug and Cool was also showcased at the booth to enable participants have a first-hand experience of natural refrigerant technology.
“This event is a huge step for introducing natural refrigerants in the market. Natural refrigerants have zero ozone depleting substances and has very low global warming potential but public awareness is very low. By showcasing these technologies, we are educating the public which, hopefully, will translate to increase in market demand. There is a high interest on these technologies and Magic Aire, together with the other CCI-Hub contributors, are ready to address the market’s demand”, said Mr. Azucena.
The four-day trade show was conducted simultaneously at two locations – the SMX Convention Center Manila within the SM Mall of Asia Complex and the World Trade Center Manila. Aside from exhibits, it also featured several learning sessions and seminars.
